Bob was on the first vertical assault ever with Helo's on the Korean peninsula.  He was a Radio Operator with "ANGLICO', and acronym for " Air and Naval Gun Fire Liaison company" with the First Marine Division.  Attached to both 5th and 7th Marine infantry regiments on both the East and West coasts of Korea.  Bob was involved with Operation "Mouse Trap" amongst others.  Bob would call in close air support and 16" naval gun fire off the Battlewagon USS Wisconsin in support of Marine infantry.
